Building Community Happy Hour
The Building Community project began in 2005 within my Thai community and expanded to business owners whom I know share the same mission of doing the best for their clients’ benefit. Trust must be earned and getting to know a person’s passions and how he or she runs a business helps build that trust in the community. I really want people to connect and grow into relationships that they will support not simply for business, but better yet, on a personal level.
To build these relationships, I believe in 3 key elements: socializing, engagement and education. I imagined a name to reflect values of flare, fun and creativity to represent my purpose of building community. And so the name Connexi-Om!, which derives from the French influence of “connexion”, reflects the meaning of connecting, networking and building rapport through Om’s events!
